C\u2019est une profession exigeante, mais dans laquelle elle s\u2019\u00e9panouit pleinement. Caf\u00e9 en main, j\u2019ouvre mon portable et je jette un bref coup d\u2019\u0153il aux courriels qui s\u2019accumulent d\u00e9j\u00e0&nbsp;: des r\u00e9ponses \u00e0 mes demandes de suivis, des questions sur la disponibilit\u00e9 des produits, des publications sur les nouveaut\u00e9s dans notre groupe de discussion interne\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s une douche rapide, je me coiffe, me maquille, enfile mon habit f\u00e9tiche&nbsp;et r\u00e9vise mon document une derni\u00e8re fois : gros d\u00e9jeuner d\u2019affaires en vue, ce matin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7&nbsp;h<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lorsque les premiers v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires entrent dans la salle priv\u00e9e du restaurant familial, j\u2019ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 install\u00e9 mon mat\u00e9riel et mon projecteur. Je reconnais des visages familiers et je me r\u00e9jouis d\u2019apercevoir quelques nouvelles recrues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sans me laisser distraire par le va-et-vient et l\u2019odeur omnipr\u00e9sente du bacon, je leur pr\u00e9sente les r\u00e9sultats du programme \u00ab\u2009Accomplir 25&nbsp;% + Ensemble\u2009\u00bb&nbsp;: de bonnes pratiques visant \u00e0 stimuler le taux de gestation des vaches laiti\u00e8res. C\u2019est bien plus qu\u2019un <em>pitch<\/em> pour embellir leurs indicateurs de rendement \u2014 c\u2019est un moyen concret d\u2019aider les \u00e9leveurs \u00e0 mieux nourrir leur communaut\u00e9, un animal \u00e0 la fois. \u00c0 tirer le maximum des ressources disponibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le groupe est engag\u00e9 et me pose d\u2019excellentes questions. Je vois des yeux briller d\u2019ambition face \u00e0 de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s et des occasions de faire cro\u00eetre leur clinique. J\u2019adore ces conversations-l\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9&nbsp;h<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De nouveau seule au restaurant, je prends des notes d\u00e9taill\u00e9es des discussions post-rencontre pendant que c\u2019est encore frais. Qui veut recevoir les plus r\u00e9cents r\u00e9sultats d\u2019essais cliniques\u2009? Qui a une question pour notre \u00e9quipe de technologues en soins v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires (TSV)\u2009? Honorer ces petites demandes-l\u00e0 et agir rapidement, c\u2019est comment on m\u00e9rite la confiance des gens.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9&nbsp;h 45<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C\u2019est un d\u00e9part sur la 132 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 mon prochain arr\u00eat \u00e0 Rivi\u00e8re-du-Loup, une centaine de&nbsp;kilom\u00e8tres plus loin. Je ne me lasse jamais de la beaut\u00e9 du Bas-Saint-Laurent, o\u00f9 le fleuve para\u00eet immense et o\u00f9 l\u2019autre rive est \u00e0 peine visible \u00e0 l\u2019horizon. \u00c7a remet tout en perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11&nbsp;h<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u2019arrive \u00e0 destination&nbsp;: une ferme laiti\u00e8re familiale o\u00f9 j\u2019accompagne une v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire partenaire en consultation. C\u2019est une belle grande terre qui s\u2019\u00e9tend entre les collines, o\u00f9 les vaches broutent en nous regardant, l\u2019air intrigu\u00e9. Il y a quelque chose d\u2019apaisant \u00e0 me retrouver ici, avec la boue sur mes bottes et l\u2019odeur du troupeau. J\u2019y retrouve mes racines : les animaux ont toujours fait partie de ma vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u2019\u00e9coute et j\u2019observe la v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire, j\u2019apprends \u00e0 la conna\u00eetre. Je profite aussi de l\u2019occasion pour \u00e9changer directement avec la famille d\u2019\u00e9leveurs. Je leur parle de notre programme de fid\u00e9lisation <a href=\"https:\/\/caclubvetoq.wp-platform-preprod.vetoquinol.com\/fr\/\">Club Vetoquinol<\/a>, du syst\u00e8me de points et des r\u00e9compenses disponibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>12&nbsp;h<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u2019accompagne la v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire \u00e0 un bistro sympathique du village. Entre nos cuiller\u00e9es de soupe et nos bouch\u00e9es de grilled cheese, on parle d\u2019innovations \u00e0 venir, de tendances de l\u2019industrie et d\u2019objectifs de croissance. Mais aussi de nos familles et de nos projets de voyage. Les relations de confiance, \u00e7a se b\u00e2tit entre humains, en vrai, dans des moments comme \u00e7a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>13&nbsp;h&nbsp;30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coup d\u2019\u0153il \u00e0 mes courriels avant de reprendre la route. Une clinique a une question urgente sur un produit. Une autre demande des pr\u00e9cisions sur une interaction entre deux m\u00e9dicaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>14&nbsp;h<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u2019embarque sur la Transcanadienne pour entamer le long trajet qui me ram\u00e8nera \u00e0 notre si\u00e8ge social \u00e0 temps pour notre retraite strat\u00e9gique de demain. Quelque part en arrivant dans Chaudi\u00e8re-Appalaches, j\u2019aper\u00e7ois un aigle qui vole en cercle au-dessus des champs. \u00c7a me rappelle les condors d\u2019\u00c9quateur (en beaucoup plus petits !), l\u00e0 o\u00f9 j\u2019ai fait quelques ann\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9tudes en m\u00e9decine v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire. Ces moments d\u2019introspection entre deux rendez-vous sont comme une bouff\u00e9e d\u2019air frais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>15&nbsp;h&nbsp;30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Environ \u00e0 mi-trajet, je fais un arr\u00eat rapide dans une clinique partenaire de longue date. Les v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires sont rarement disponibles \u00e0 cette heure, mais j\u2019en profite pour discuter avec les techniciennes et la r\u00e9ceptionniste \u2014 celles qui tiennent le fort au quotidien. Je m\u2019assure que tout va bien c\u00f4t\u00e9 inventaire, je r\u00e9ponds aux questions en suspens et surtout, je prends le temps de leur dire bonjour. Ces petites visites informelles renforcent nos liens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>16&nbsp;h&nbsp;45<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stationn\u00e9e dans une halte-routi\u00e8re, je sors me d\u00e9gourdir les jambes et je passe un coup de fil \u00e0 une coll\u00e8gue du si\u00e8ge social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>17&nbsp;h&nbsp;30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je m\u2019arr\u00eate dans un caf\u00e9, le temps de laisser l\u2019heure de pointe de Qu\u00e9bec passer. Je profite de la qualit\u00e9 du Wi-Fi pour r\u00e9diger et soumettre mes rapports de la journ\u00e9e. Je note les sujets abord\u00e9s, les besoins exprim\u00e9s et mes propres engagements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00ab\u2009admin\u2009\u00bb du m\u00e9tier n\u2019est pas ce qu\u2019il y a de plus excitant, mais je prends \u00e7a tr\u00e8s au s\u00e9rieux. Ayant d\u00e9j\u00e0 dirig\u00e9 mes propres entreprises, je sais \u00e0 quel point chaque suivi compte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>21&nbsp;h<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les derniers kilom\u00e8tres s\u2019\u00e9coulent et j\u2019arrive enfin \u00e0 destination. Je pousse un soupir de soulagement en retirant mes bottes. Ultime coup d\u2019\u0153il \u00e0 mon portable&nbsp;: je survole mes courriels et r\u00e9vise la liste de t\u00e2ches pour demain. Je referme l\u2019\u00e9cran, satisfaite d\u2019avoir tout donn\u00e9. J\u2019entame mon rituel de fin de soir\u00e9e pour d\u00e9compresser, m\u2019accorder une pause.
